Restaurant Manager

Pier64 is a modern, Mediterranean al fresco restaurant in the beautiful Penarth Marina. We are looking for a skilled Restaurant Manager, who will be responsible for the operation of the dining rooms, the recruitment and development of the floor team, and assisting in running the venue alongside the other members of the management team.

Restaurant Manager we looking for is a real host who is passionate about hospitality and quality. Restaurant Manager who would suit this role is experienced in busy, high volume restaurant management and can run the shifts like a true leader!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the level of service, quality of product, and profitability of the restaurant’s operations;
Contributes with ideas, thoughts, and solutions that result in increased productivity, higher retention, and improved operations;
Leads by example and being a role model for the standards and behaviors consistent with the property's core values and culture;
Addresses performance issues quickly and respectfully by coaching, training, and managing any conflicts;
Evaluates performance of direct staff members, and consistently documents both positive and constructive feedback relative to service and operating standards;
Implementing policies and procedures;
Proactively attracts, identifies, and hires team members that embody the property’s profile and have the ability to grow within;
Communicates regularly with all HODs to ensure the department runs smoothly;
Delivers positive revenue and financial objectives by removing any barriers to success;
Manages all areas of responsibility effectively within budgetary guidelines by monitoring and controlling operational and payroll costs;
Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures;
Ensures that all Company service and operating standards, specifically with regards to F&B are consistently met;
Plans and directs all food and beverage operations and ensures customer’s expectations are consistently exceeded;
Ensures compliance with Health and Safety / Food and Hygiene regulations.

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an Restaurant Manager or similar role
Food Level 2 Certification
HACCP certification
Personal licence
Positive, full of energy
Pleasant and well-groomed
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to Work 5 shifts per week between 9:00am - 11:00pm
Working to safe standards
High initiative and positive attitude
