Business Support Assistant:

In this role you will face a variety of changing tasks on a daily basis, perfect for someone who enjoys a challenge and has a keen and analytical mind. You will be working under our Business Support Manager and will be assisting in the management of the company’s finances as well as Marketing and Human Resources.  Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and you will be based onsite at Pier64 with incredible views of Penarth Marina.

Contract is based on 40 hours per week

Day to Day duties will involve:

  • Provide assistance to the Business Support Manager
  • Responding to queries regarding reservations from customers both via email and over the phone
  • Uploading supplier invoices to our accounting software Xero to be scheduled for payment
  • Reconciling accounts and invoices

Other Duties carried out:

  • Managing reservation software (Resdiary)
    • Creating a booking schedule and promotion for Key Calendar Dates
  • Managing our Epos (Tevalis)
    • Retrieving business data from Reports
    • Overseeing cash-ups to ensure low variances
  • Assisting in correcting basic IT issues
  • Engage in cost comparisons for suppliers
  • Assist in the preparation of Payroll
  • Assist in basic HR duties

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in an accounting, hospitality administration or HR role would be ideal for this position however as there will be a significant amount of on the job training we encourage applications from anyone with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to a new role.
  • A high degree of IT proficiency will be required for this role
    • Knowledge of Microsoft systems is essential
      • Excel, Word, Outlook and Onedrive
    • Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is desirable but not essential
    • Experience with Resdiary is desirable but not essential
    • Experience with Epos software is desirable but not essential
  • Working well in a high pressure environment.
